Word Travels allows you to see a warts-and-all glimpse into the lives of two, real-life travel writers - myself and the effervescent Travel Junkie Julia Dimon (she bubbles if you drop her in water). On an outrageous assignment that takes us to dozens of countries across six continents, you'll see us looking for the best stories and adventures to write about for publications around the world.
Where are we going? Countries like (in no particular order): Bolivia, Colombia, South Korea, Dubai, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, France, Hong Kong, Mexico, the Philippines, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macau, New Zealand, the Maldives, Thailand, Venezuela, Jamaica, the Yukon - do you hate me yet?
Word Travels can be seen weekly in Canada on OLN, and in dozens of countries worldwide on National Geographic Adventure. Unfortunately, episodes are not available online, but you can see clips and find out more at our spiffy Word Travels website.
You'll quickly see that having a dream job involves the occasional nightmare, as we battle jetlag, schedules, taxi drivers and the fear that maybe, this time, I really will kill myself in an act of hilariously misplaced machismo. Go Go Gonzo. Anyone who knows me knows about my music fetish, and the half-hour show is chock-full of tunes, fast paced and like Modern Gonzo, something to entertain and inspire.
Word Travels is produced by Omni Lifestyle, a division of Omni Film - a company built on a foundation of awesomeness.
