Physically, and remarkably, the Warao resemble Mongolions, from whom they are traced thousands of years ago. They speak softly, if ever, conversing in what Chris calls "jungle telepathy." There is no doubt that their culture, like their eco-system, is incredibly fragile. Will they survive the invasion of the modern world. No more than the Incas survived the invasion of the Spanish.
