History and Crosses

Most of the country is Eastern Orthodox, but Georgia also has a sizeable Muslim population, and one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world. All have lived in relative harmony for the most part, although Soviet rule did clamp down heavily on the practice of all religion. This is a carving on the 17th century Ananuri church.
