There were some moments that left me shaking my head, muttering “only in Tokyo!” Like the singing Elvis’s, or the subways at rush hour, or the goth-punk-whackjob Harajuku girls. Coupled with the gorgeous temples and shrines, colorful kimonos, traditional ceremonies and full-on karaoke, my week in Tokyo is a compulsive thumbnail clicker. Click on the thumbnails for more info.
A mosque, a waterfall, a view and sayonora Malaysia. Everything gets decidedly weirder when I arrive in Tokyo to find fashion, pigs, Gonzo accountants, models and $200 buck melons. The koi cooperated at the Emperor’s gardens, as did the doggies on the subway and the barber shop. Richard Gere is not amused. Click on the thumbnails for more info.
