After decades of violence, civil war and repairing the wounds from the genocide that was the Khmer Rouge, Cambodia is emerging as a country of contrasts - innocence and corruption, wealth and abject poverty, dollars but no sense. And yet you’ve never seen people smile more, as if living without political strife is all they ever needed. Regardless, it’s beautiful, fascinating, and attractive to more and more travellers. Below are the folks I met during my short 13 days in the country.
