Eat, Sleep, Play - Greece

« Return to Eat, Sleep, Play    « Return to Greece

I came to Corfu because it was the only way I could find a cheap flight back to Budapest. I ended up staying a week in a backpacker hostel overlooking Perekas, a gorgeous sandy beach with calm, turquoise waters.

SLEEP

Sunrock - Magda and Spiros somehow play mom and dad to a 70-bed revolving hostel, cooking and schlepping ,providing a budget place to crash, with a magnificent view of Pelekas Beach and relaxed, friendly vibe. It’s easy to relax and watch the days drain away like water on the beach, meeting new friends, drinking cold beer on your tab, and really getting a holiday. The traveler staff create a family atmosphere too. Be aware that you’re away from Corfu Town. Tel: 066194637, Pelekas Beach.

Aqualand - After you’ve spent a few days roasting in the sun, get baked at Aqualand, billed as one of Europe’s biggest water parks. The crowds are big but who cares, you’re not 12 anymore and after a few runs your back will be craving a deck chair anyway. Stop in and say hi to Chris at the Bungee Trampoline, pack lots of sunscreen and drink lots of water. It’s a grand day out in the sun. Costs about 19 Euros, buses run to and from Corfu Town.
